Hearing Aid Aftercare

Ongoing hearing aid care is essential to keep you hearing at your best. Our audiologists are experts at providing person-centred care to make sure you always hear at your best.

Two clear ways to get the care you need

If you have hearing aids you purchased elsewhere, whether you have moved to this area or just want a second opinion, we can make sure they are working for you as they should. You shouldn’t have to settle for less support just because you bought your hearing aids somewhere else, so we offer two different options for you to get the support you need.

Option 1:
The Hearing Aid Overhaul

Cost: £360

A one-off, comprehensive service that gets your hearing aids working properly for you, as they should.

Your overhaul includes:

  • A detailed hearing assessment, so we fully understand your current hearing profile before making any changes
  • Expert hearing aid reprogramming, adjusting your devices to match how your hearing is today, not how it was when you first got them
  • Up to three follow-up appointments, because getting the settings right often takes more than one visit

This option is well suited to you if your hearing aids feel “off,” if your hearing has changed since your last assessment, or if you simply want a thorough check before committing to ongoing care.

Option 2:
The Fully Inclusive Aftercare Plan

Cost: £30 Per Month*

For those who want complete peace of mind over the next two years, this plan covers everything you need.

Your plan includes:

  • Unlimited appointments – there is no cap on how often you can come in
  • Annual hearing assessments to track any changes in your hearing over time
  • Earwax removal, carried out safely and professionally when needed
  • Consumables such as wax filters, domes, and batteries, supplied as part of your plan
  • Hearing aid reprogramming whenever your settings need updating

* A minimum commitment of 12 months is required when joining our aftercare scheme with hearing aids that were purchased elsewhere

Your hearing aids can work better than they do right now

If you have been putting up with hearing aids that don’t quite feel right, you don’t have to. A proper assessment and some careful reprogramming can make a real difference to how clearly you hear. Book a Detailed Hearing Assessment today and see what a difference we can make.

What to expect when you come in

Step 1 - Your hearing assessment

We start by testing your hearing properly, using the same process as we do for all of our Detailed Hearing Assessments. This tells us exactly where your hearing is today, both with and without your hearing aids, which is essential before we make any adjustments to your devices.

Step 2 - Reprogramming

Using the results of your assessment, as well as information we have gained through talking to you about where you are having difficulty hearing at the moment, we will reprogram your hearing aids to suit your current hearing needs. Sometimes the changes are small, and sometimes they are larger, but they can all make a significant difference to how clear, comfortable and natural everything sounds.

Step 3 - Fine-tuning & follow-up

Adjusting to reprogrammed hearing aids takes time, and your feedback matters. After your initial reprogramming we will schedule follow-up appointments so you can tell us what’s working well and what still needs attention. To make sure that you are getting the very best out of your hearing aids we will continue adjusting until you are comfortable and happy.

Common questions

If you have a hearing aid from one of the main hearing aid brands (Oticon, Phonak, Unitron, Signia, Widex, Starkey or GN ReSound) then yes, we can service it!

You do not need to have purchased your hearing aids from us. We provide the same standard of care to all patients, regardless of where their devices came from.

If your hearing aid is from another manufacturer please get in touch by phone to provide us some more details as we may still be able to help

While we are very happy to clean and service NHS hearing aids, due to NHS restrictions we are unable to make any alterations to the sound or fit of the hearing aids.

This is exactly what your initial appointment with us is designed to identify. Hearing does change over time, and hearing aids that were programmed years ago may no longer be set at the right level for you. Our expert audiologists will be able to update your programming to reflect your hearing as it is now, not as it once was.

If you are looking for a one-time reset and some reassurance that everything is in order, the Hearing Aid Overhaul is a practical starting point. If you’d prefer ongoing care without having to think about individual costs each time, the 2-Year Aftercare Plan offers better long-term value and continuity.

Both options start with a Detailed Hearing Assessment, so when you come to see us for the first time we will be happy to talk through both options with you before you decide.

Our Aftercare Plan covers all of your appointments (with no limit on how many you can have), annual hearing assessments, earwax removal, hearing aid reprogramming, and consumables including wax filters, domes, and batteries. There are no hidden extras.

That is an excellent reason to come to see our expert audiologists. A Detailed Hearing Assessment will give you a clear picture of where your hearing is now, both with and without your hearing aids, and we can advise you honestly on whether, with some adjustment, your current devices are still capable of meeting your needs.
