Who are we?
Aphra Dowell-Jones
Specialist Audiologist & Company Founder
Since completing her Master’s degree in audiology Aphra has worked in the NHS as well as for a national private hearing care provider. Over this time she has worked with adults with a wide range of hearing care needs, from those having their hearing assessed for the very first time, to individuals with more complex needs and a long history of hearing difficulty.
While working in the NHS Aphra developed a special interest in paediatric audiology, and worked with children from birth right up until 18 years of age. She enjoyed seeing her patients social, educational and communicative development progress over time as their hearing needs were addressed.
In 2023 Aphra’s love of helping patients to lead happier, healthier lives led her to set up Zest Hearing Care, where individualized patient care is balanced alongside the latest technological developments to provide the very best solutions audiology can provide.
Clair Dowell-Jones
Office Manager
After 15 years working within the NHS, Clair has extensive experience of dealing with patients and is looking forward to supporting Aphra as the Office Manager for Zest Hearing Care. Responsible for day-to-day operations such as welcoming people into the clinic and managing patient enquiries, she will be your first point of contact with our team.
Clair is looking forward to helping Zest Hearing Care grow and develop over the following years, while ensuring our patients continue to receive the professional, friendly, personalised service and excellent hearing outcomes that Zest prides itself on.
Elmo Dowell-Jones
Morale Officer
Elmo is Zest Hearing Care’s excellent morale officer. He greets patients with a smile and a bark when they come through the door as well as giving the staff at Zest Hearing Care a much-needed break between patients. He loves his ball (but good luck getting him to bring it back to you!) and, of course, he insists on being paid for his work with lots of tasty treats!
